Define Concrete

Concrete is a construction material created by combining cement , aggregates , water. In which cement is binding Material , fine aggregate & coarse aggregate is a filler material & water for mixing all ingredients , makes it workable.

What are the requirements of a good concrete ??

1. It should be economical.

2. The aggregate must be clean , hard & durable.

3. Water cement ratio should be accurate.

4.water used in concrete should be free from impurities.

5. Sufficient quality of cement should be used to gain high strength.

6. It should have goog workability , so that it can be handled & placed easily in position.

7. It should be dense & compact.

8.It should have minimum shrinkage.

9. It should be fire resistant.

10. It should resist abrasion , forming hard surface.
